The story of Olsen & Associates
The doors of Olsen & Associates opened in 1982 in Reno. Beyond those doors were a few small desks, one phone system, and Marlene Olsen, a woman with the ambition to make reality of her dream, a vision to create a resource for businesses and individuals in need of creative and effective communications. Business came. Then more of it arrived -- public, private, governmental, special events, work from all arenas. Many of those clients that were with us from our inception are still part of the team today. The agency that started as one has grown to a group of eight employees, each exuding qualities that are both professional and personal, traits that continue to make Olsen & Associates an invaluable resource. Most of us are products of the University of Nevada, Reno's School of Journalism, an institution renowned for providing firms across the country with well-rounded students who can step right into the rigors of communications with attitudes, energy and insight that are refreshing and productive.
