Rebecca Wikler - Project Assistant/Intern
Energetic in all aspects of her life, Rebecca brings a vivacious presence to Olsen & Associates. Anything she takes on, she does so with full force, professional, personal or academic. She grew up in a big family and as a result, recognizes and appreciates that she would not be the same person if it were not for the efforts and continuous support from her friends, family and colleagues.
Rebecca recently graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in the fall of 2007 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. In spring 2007, she was a part of the UNR integrated marketing communications team and as the account executive, lead her classmates to second place at the regional competition. She and her teammates developed a full- functioning advertising, PR and marketing campaign for Coca-Cola Classic.
Rebecca was a staff writer for the Nevada Sagebrush for two years, focusing on news and entertainment pieces. As an intern in the summer of 2005, she also wrote for Nevada News, the university's online news source for staff and faculty. She was an active member of AdClub, the UNR student chapter of the American Advertising Federation, for three years. She is now a member of Ad2Reno, the young professionals division of of the Advertising Association of Northern Nevada and the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Whenever she can, Rebecca takes trips to her hometown of Henderson, Nev. to visit family and friends. She enjoys testing out new and healthy recipes. Movies, walking, swimming, going out for sushi and sipping on a soy latte at Starbucks with her nose in a book also top of her list of pastimes.
