Katie Louvat - Marketing Communications Manager
Somewhere in every office at Olsen & Associates is a colorful graph that crystallizes the strengths and characteristics of each employee, a technique called Emergenetics that helps explain how people perceive situations and approach challenges. For Katie, hers is heavy on red and green - she's both social and structured. Meet her and you'll concur with the results. Katie makes it a priority to be easily accessible to her clients and to find time for volunteer work. And when there's a window of relief, you'll find her recharging her batteries by catching waves near Santa Cruz, riding her mountain bike in the Sierra, or teaching yoga.
With an extensive background in special event management and coordination, program development and implementation, and partnership development, Katie is an invaluable addition to Olsen & Associates. A skilled project manager, Katie is the lead on many accounts, including The Great Reno Balloon Race. Accomplished in Web site development, Katie manages web communications for Truckee Meadows Water Authority, Truckee Meadows Tomorrow and oversees many of Olsen & Associates web projects.
Prior to joining Olsen & Associates, Katie - a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno -- played vital roles in coordinating and managing of events that included the Tour De Nez Bicycle Festival, Reno River Festival, Big Blue Adventure Series, and Artown. She is passionate about community partnership and collaboration and strives to pull the right partners to the table to make great things happen for the betterment of the community.
A passionate contributor to our youth, Katie played a large role as the outreach and education coordinator for Artown and is currently a board member of Project Great Outdoors, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing affordable experiential education to disadvantaged and underprivileged youth.
